D. Request to Issue Purchase Order for Purchase of Stainless Dump Body for Roadway Maintenance

Presented for City Council’s consideration is a request to approve the issuance of a purchase order in the amount of $35,227.00 to Henderson Manufacturing Inc. for the purchase of a Stainless-Steel Dump Body for a 2006 Freightliner Single Axle Truck Chassis. There is $40,000.00 budgeted for this expense.

E. Request for the issuance of purchase order for Replacement Pick-Up Truck for the Housing Department

Presented for City Council’s consideration is a request to approve the issuance of a purchase order in the amount of $33,641, to Krieger Autogroup, for the purchase of a Ford F-250. This truck will be used by maintenance staff in daily operations and for snow clearance at all three housing properties. This is not a budgeted purchase but is necessitated by repairs needed to current trucks. Public housing operating funds will be used to make this purchase.

F. Request for the issuance of Purchase order for Overhead Garage Doors for Public Works building

Presented for City Council’s consideration is a request to approve the issuance of a purchase order in the amount of $13,380.00, to Midwest Door, for the purchase and installation of three overhead doors for the Public Works Buildings. There is $14,925.00 budgeted in the Building and Grounds Deferred Maintenance Budget for this item.

G. Request to approve the Surface Transportation Block Grant Program Federal-Aid Swap Project Agreement with the Iowa Department of Transportation

Presented for City Council’s consideration is a request to approve an agreement with the Iowa Department of Transportation for a Block Grant Program Federal-Aid Swap Project. This grant will help fund the reconstruction of Grandview Avenue from Main Street to Houser Street.

H. Request to approve Issuance of a purchase order for Phase 5 Sewer Separation, Land Survey for easements through residential property

Presented for City Council’s consideration is a request to approve the issuance of a purchase order in the amount of $12,000.00, to Martin and Whitacre, for a land survey of Phase 5 Sewer Separation to determine sufficient easements exist for this project.

I. Request to approve issuance of a purchase order for Soccer Expansion Site Lighting

Presented for City Council’s consideration is a request to approve the issuance of a purchase order in the amount of $130,000.00, to Musco Lighting, for electrical infrastructure and installation of field and parking lot lighting for the soccer expansion site. Musco lighting has offered to donate the lights valued at $660,000.00 with the stipulation that Muscatine City cover the cost of the electrical infrastructure and the installation of the lights.

It is recommended bills totaling $2,059,081.04, be approved and that the City Council authorize the mayor and City Clerk to issue warrants for the same. It should be noted that this listing is subject to the approval of any related agenda item(s).
