Mission Statement.
Minutes: June 14, 2011
Subdivisions:
Preliminary Plat – Piazza Bella Subdivision – 3-Lots – 13 acres – Hwy 38 - Claudio Vitale. This request has been placed on hold until further notified by the attorney for the applicant.
Preliminary/Final Plat – University Development Subdivision – 3-lots -3.084 acres – University Drive – M-2 Zoning – Clark and Sony Johnson. Gary Whitacre of Martin & Whitacre Surveyors & Engineers, Inc.
has filed a combined Preliminary/Final Plat for a 3-lot Subdivision of
Lot 5 of the Northland Subdivision to the City of Muscatine. If
approved, Lot 1 will be developed into storage units, Lot 2 will
potentially become an insurance office, and Lot 3 will be made available
for future commercial development. The Commission is requested to
consider scheduling an on-site viewing of this request following
appropriate notice to adjacent property owners.
Vacation:
Access Easement – Within Lot 4 of Chin Subdivision – off Grandview Avenue – Jeff King / ABC Storage, LLC. Gary Whitacre of Martin & Whitacre Surveyors & Engineers, Inc.
has filed a request to vacate an Access Easement located within Lot 4 of
the Chin Subdivision. The easement was provided in the Chin
Subdivision (1987) to provide future access to adjacent properties but
the need to develop the easement has not been realized. The Commission
is requested to schedule an on-site viewing of the request following
appropriate notice to adjacent property owners.
Other Business:
Comprehensive Plan Update - City Planner Andrew Fangman will present Commissioners with the status
of the Comprehensive Plan Update. A discussion will follow with the
opportunity for Commissioners to provide input and suggestions regarding
the update effort and adoption timeline.
