    1. Resolution Amending Title 5 Business Regulations, Chapter 15 Permits, License, Bonds Fees (Taxicabs) 

      Presented for City Council’s consideration is a resolution amending Title 5 Business Regulations, Chapter 15 Permits, License, Bonds Fees (Taxicabs). The city has received a request from a non-profit organization asking that the annual fee of $30 for a taxicab license be waived. After discussing this matter in-depth, City Council has directed that the City Code fee schedule be updated leaving the $30 fee as is and adding an additional $5 per vehicle thereafter.

    2. Request Approval to Purchase Battery Powered Ambulance Cot for New Ambulance 

      Presented for City Council’s consideration is a request to approve the purchase of a battery powered ambulance cot for the new ambulance. The cost is $12,046.50, and Stryker EMS Equipment is the sole source vendor for this type of cot. There is $12,469.55 remaining from the 2008 bond proceeds that can be used for this purchase.

    3. Request Approval of Traffic Item 

      Presented for City Council’s consideration is a request to remove the “No Right Turn” signs located at the corners of 3rd and Pine streets and 3rd and Chestnut streets. The signs are no longer needed and are not enforceable by the Police Department.

      Is there a motion to approve the request as submitted? 

    4. Request Authorization to Purchase Rifles for Police Department 

      Presented for City Council’s consideration is a request from the Police Department to authorize the purchase of six AR 16 rifles. Three quotes were received with the low being from Rock River Arms in the amount of $5,577. The cost for the rifles will be funded by a 2011 Justice Assistance Grant.

    It is recommended bills totaling $1,579,070.68 be approved and that the City Council authorize the Mayor and City Clerk to issue warrants for the same. It should be noted that this listing is subject to the approval of any related agenda item(s).
