A. Resolution Setting Public Hearing Regarding High Strength Waste Receiving Project

Presented for City Councils consideration is a resolution setting a public hearing on Feb 7th, 2019, concerning the High Strength Waste Receiving Project plans, specifications, form of contract and estimated cost.

B. Resolution Approving the Preliminary Plat for Arbor Commons Subdivision

Presented for City Councils consideration is a resolution approving the preliminary plat for Arbor Commons subdivision. This plat has been approved by the Planning and Zoning Commission and fully conforms with the ordinances of the City of Muscatine.

C. Resolution Accepting Completed Work and Authorizing Final Payment for Quiet Zone

Presented for City Council’s consideration is a resolution accepting the completed work and authorizing final payment of $2,303.08, to Smith Seeding for work performed on the Quiet Zone Project. All work under this contract has been completed, appears to meet the requirements of the plans and specifications and has been approved by the City Engineer.

D. Resolution Authorizing the Assessment of Unpaid Nuisance Abatement Costs to Private Properties

Presented for City Council's consideration is a resolution authorizing the assessment of unpaid abatement costs to private properties. the nuisance abatement costs for snow, junk and weed removal total $8,011.45, the administrative fees are $1,850.00 and the assessment fees are $2,000.00. The total fee being requested for assessment at this time totals $11,811.45.

E. Request to approve purchase of a Muscatine Special Operations Response Team Vehicle for Police Department and Authorize the Issuance of Purchase Order

Presented for City Council’s consideration is a request to approve the issuance of a purchase order in the amount of $50,000 for the purchase of a Muscatine Special Operations Response Team Vehicle. The Police Department has secured outside funding resources for the remaining $150,000 for this purchase.

It is recommended bills totaling $2,075,921.44, be approved and that the City Council authorize the Mayor and City Clerk to issue warrants for the same. It should be noted that this listing is subject to the approval of any related agenda item(s).
